Jeet Kune Do

Symbol of Jeet Kune Do.

The benefits of Bruce Lee’s Jeet Kune Do are versatile and are difficult to wrap up in a single discussion. One key benefit for practicing this skill is that it allows an ordinary person to stay safe and secure about their daily lives. JKD makes him able to use any of the techniques that best suits the situation at hand rather than using any traditional martial art technique. It gives the confidence to protect oneself and other loved ones when there is no option to escape danger because the mere purpose of this art is to protect, not hurt.

If a person is in reasonably good condition, in only six months they can learn self-defense techniques that will protect their loved ones!

Jeet Kune Do is the best way to keep oneself healthy, fit, balanced and active. As a result, the person who learns it experiences increased strength and improves flexibility and coordination that helps he or she to perform various endeavors more efficiently and smoothly due to increased energy and metabolism. The student during the course of his practice undergoes various muscle building and power training ending in having an ideal and toned body.

Another last but not least advantage of learning this martial arts gym is that it does wonders for improving mental stability, ability to focus and overall harmony of the mind and body. The techniques which a learner goes through during the Jeet Kune Do training sharpens and relaxes the mind that results in improved life performance.

However, to get the best out of Jeet Kune do, it is recommended to get in touch with a highly experienced and dedicated teacher who is certified as a Sifu (teacher).  It is good to view their certificate.

Mr. Gonzales studied for decades in private sessions with Mr. Wong and conversed weekly by telephone. Sifu Gonzales’ commitment to honor Sifu Wong, the Lee family and JKD was to develop the Dallas school as an elite JKD training institution. On April 29, 2000 Mr. Wong certified Mr. Gonzales as a JKD 3rd rank instructor (Sifu). 3rd rank is considered the highest level in Bruce Lee’s ranking system.
